My geocities domain name automatically kicked in as soon as I created an email account with Yahoo! Yours will too.
The best way to explain Geocities is to use my own free account as an example. When I signed up for a free Yahoo! Email account I chose a Username of briannewberry and . . .
therefore my email address is
..briannewberry@yahoo.commy free geocities domain name ("website address") is
..http://geocities.com/briannewberryif I upload a file named "hollywood.html", then it's website address is
..http://geocities.com/briannewberry/hollywood.htmlif I upload a file named "jellyfish.html", then it's website address is
..http://geocities.com/briannewberry/jellyfish.html
If you already have a Yahoo! email account, then sign in to Geocities using your Yahoo! Username and your Yahoo! Password. If you do not yet have a Yahoo account - then Create an Account Now!
Otherwise - if you already have a domain name using a different web host, then chances are - it's similar in appearance & design to Geocities.com.
